Based in New York and Tokyo, design projects range in type and scale from small residential works to large-scale urban interventions that change the urban character of the city. In their work, the firm strives to understand perception, materiality, and space in western and eastern cultures.

Through architectural design, the differences and similarities in the concepts and understanding of objects and space between the East and the West never cease to amaze us. Rather than mixing East and West, we want to rethink Western traditions through a Japanese lens, and reconsider Japanese culture from a Western perspective. The goal of the practice is to create beautiful and functional buildings that everyone can enjoy, with the belief that beautiful buildings raise people’s spirit and improve the state of well-being, heightening the quality of experience of the public realm and improving the living environment.
